“I’m proud to be your MP in Calder Valley. I grew up here, and live here with my family. I know the challenges we face here, and understand the issues that you and your family care about. Calder Valley is already a fantastic place to live and I am working to help it live up to it’s full potential.

My pledges to you

• Revitalise our local economy – We are lucky to have so many incredible small businesses here in Calder Valley – but they need support to survive.
• Get our NHS back on its feet – We need to cut GP waiting lists, ensure everyone has access to an NHS dentist and invest in our NHS.
• Protect our communities from flooding – In Calder Valley, we are on the frontline of the effects of climate change, and we need to continue investment in flood defences.
• Make our streets safe – Where 1 in 10 people in the UK have to move because of anti-social behaviour, it’s crucial that we make people feel safe again.
• Break down barriers to opportunity – We must invest in our education system, to ensure all children have the best opportunities they can to succeed.
