We are off to a flying start with Josh Fenton-Glynn’s campaign for the general election – literally – with a drone taking pictures from above of supporters at Josh’s campaign launch today!

There was an excited buzz as members and supporters, including Kate Dearden, candidate for our neighbours in Halifax, met to hear newly re-elected West Yorkshire Mayor, Tracy Brabin, introduce Josh. He is a local man, grew up in Calder Valley, and is raising his young family here, with this wife and two young children with us today cheering him on.

Josh spoke passionately about this being the most important election of any in our life time. It will be decided by seats like Calder Valley, where the Conservatives are fighting to win. He is determined to stop them with the help of our members and supporters. Josh wants his young children to grow up in a better world. He doesn’t want to leave them with a worsening climate crisis, broken schools and an NHS on its knees.

We have a campaign of hope though, with hundreds of activists prepared to deliver it. We can win. We must win. Josh will fight for every last vote to make sure we do win.
